Interesting. But the app seems to be electron. I'd love something like this using Qt (and with a terminal client too so I could look up stuff on headless boxes)

I used to be pretty happy with the old Tomboy notes despite it being written in C#. But it was deprecated and never fit in well with KDE anyway. Currently using OneNote on the web but like all Microsoft 365 stuff it's unforgivably slow. I really need something that's a real app again.


You can use Trilium Notes in the browser just like OneNote, FYI.

I agree that a lighter client would be hugely beneficial. In fact, I just authored a Rust API that interacts with the ETAPI that it provides.


I understand but I want to avoid the browser. I hate using OneNote there because it's even more horrible than the desktop version. I'd use it for the mobile perhaps but on the desktop I really want to do back to something more basic.

But once there's a native client I'll give it a try!
